Lunchtime Stop
Oh the joy, a walk in the Peak District. It’s been some time but R and I headed up to Monyash and headed down Lathkill Dale before returning via Youlgreave where R grabbed some lunch from the local village shop.
It was truly a wonderful day, periods of sunshine between the clouds. We even had the vision of a man skinny dipping in the river (thankfully far enough away not to offer too much detail)! We did chat to him for a short while and he was very complimentary about the purity of the water in the river. Apparently it issues from the ground and is filtered by the limestone in the area.
We also had to smile at the young lambs, complete with plastic coats to protect them in their early days. In the end we covered about 12 miles sand it was great for the soul to see such interesting scenery, including the steep limestone valley of Lathkill Dale (see extra).
