To round off the Hippolyte Blanc blips here is the spire of Mayfield Salisbury set against the backdrop of Arthur’s Seat.

I managed a walk this afternoon which avoided the showers and got this view from Blackford Hill. The twin Italianate towers of Priestfield Church can be seen on the right.
