George
Today in the UK we as a nation have been reflecting on the life of The Duke of Edinburgh who passed away at the age of 99.
Most media outlets have been broadcasting tributes to the Duke and reflecting on the life he lived.
And while many will be sad, the Queen will be upmost devastated to lose the husband that she has been with for over 70 years.
"Deep Sorrow" was the words she used and it is with "Deep Sorrow" that my best friend is feeling as he says Goodbye to his faithful and loyal friend.... George.
He has had his companion for a good number of years now. A rescue dog who I believe was not treated well by a previous owner.
Jonathan however loved him and cared deeply for him.
When I was down for a visit, I was always aware that he was very well behaved when we took him out for a walk.. He would respond to commands immediately when Jonathan gave them too him... and then back home would be content to curl up in a ball for a wee snooze.
He had his wee quirks .. Music would be left on in the house if no one was about and this would be a comfort to him and I once found out that he enjoyed a wee chew on hill walking boots if they were left lying about!! (but I'll forgive the lovable old soul)
He will be missed by many who knew him but he will be missed the most by Jonathan who I'm sure will treasure the memories of a faithful and loyal friend!
