A view from St Swithin

Out and about

I spent most of today on my bike on a largely off-road circuit of the city. It was a lovely bright day but winter cycling kit was needed as it was cold and windy.
The highlight for me was my first visit to the Tyrebagger stone circle which lies west of the airport near the bypass. It’s beautifully situated with good views over the city. The extras include other points of interest: the lighthouse at Girdleness, the new harbour at Nigg Bay and the Mother Earth Sculpture on the site of the old Grandholm textile mill on the River Don
