Happy centenary to our Dad
It is 100 years today since Dad’s birth so some of the family gathered to remember him. Isbi even made a poppy seed cake (his favourite) with candles for the children to blow out.
We had Isbi and Mr Isbi along with Graham, Bec and their 5 children who you often see on isbi’s blip page.
We had our brother John, Sandy and new born Arthur.
Sister Sally ( MsPeahen) was unable to attend but we thought of her during the day.
Our daughter Nina and Maddy and Leo ( Leo is in the photo with Dad just before he died in 2011) and our son Bryan with Max, Oscar, Charlie and Elijah.
We chose a spot near a lake with a great family playground for a picnic. The kids played happily for hours. I have added a shot in the graveyard where kids love to explore and play chasing games. The oldies enjoyed catching up without having to entertain the children. All in all a great day except it was really quite cold, our first cool day and most were underdressed for the weather. The kids ranged from baby to 13 ( 12 of them).
Tonight we are having roast lamb and trifle ( Dad’s favourite meal).
Sad news to hear Prince Philip passed away yesterday. He would have been 100 in June.
