A Simpler Life

We have several Amish farms in our county. These folks have the best and most reasonably priced bedding and garden plants, hanging flower baskets, produce, meats and services. One family built my parents’ home and my sister’s rental apartment. Both are well constructed. We also have Mennonite folks who live similar quiet lives but drive vehicles. Our sheds were built by them. It was another beautiful Spring day. I met these buggies on my way to and from taking Sky to play practice. Amish folks shy away from getting their picture taken so I was sure not to get close ups. Otherwise, we cleaned the garage of all the sawdust from this week, reorganized the three refrigerators, picked up “the boyfriend,” went to 5:00 pm Mass, made dinner and kicked back. Hubby attended Brooklyn’s soccer game and joined us at Mass and dinner. I really admire folks who can live happily without all the electronics and other distractions.
