Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

The Prince, The Mini Princesses and Murphy were heading home this afternoon. It was all planned and everything was packed. I am staying in Banchory until 12th (the carer is due to start on 11th). The Prince can’t work from home and the MP’s have exams after Easter and it would be really hard for them to study here.

I felt slightly wobbly about everyone leaving so I made an executive decision.

Me: “I want Murphy to stay”

I googled and found the nearest open (on Easter Monday) pet shop. It was 4.7 miles away and The Prince went off to buy dog food. Turned out it wasn’t 4.7 miles, It was 21.
