Walrus and Carpenter Country
The Clyde River, which flows into Batemans Bay, is renowned for its delicious Sydney Rock Oysters; about a million dozen are harvested each year, making this the second-largest producing region in New South Wales. I was loafing around the park to the west of Batemans Bay Bridge yesterday, enjoying the warm and sunny afternoon, when I came across these oyster farmers' boats settled in the mud at low tide.
