A sunny spring day
It was bright and sunny this morning, but oh that wind was cold and when it was blowing in your direction it felt like winter. It is beautiful to be out walking in the sunshine and seeing the blossom on the trees everywhere.
We walked home via the cafe in the high street and picked up some coffees. They are excited to be able to open their garden area from tomorrow for customers to enjoy food and drinks outside, as from tomorrow the Covid regulations will allow that. Most of the pubs and restaurants around here are fully booked up already, although I think it is still too cold to be dining outdoors at night. Things have been happening in the village during lockdown and there are quite a few new shops and restaurants opening up which is good news, they have used the time during lockdown to fit out the shops/restaurants as required. Contrary to expectations, many businesses have done well throughout the lockdown by adapting to online sales and deliveries, so I guess those who have adapted have done well and have survived.
It has been wonderful to read all the tributes and stories in the papers about Prince Philip - he was well liked and respected for many reasons.
