“ I wander lonely as a cloud…”

This afternoon we visited Braco castle with its acres of daffodils –and we did not see a solitary person.
It was a strange experience wandering around these grand grounds in total silence, with many of the castle’s windows boarded up though I am assured some people still live there. Certainly the grounds are well maintained.
 
The gardens are open to the public under Scotland’s Garden scheme from 1 April – 31st October and well worth a visit.
