Today's the day ............................. for reeds and ripples

Lovely light on the river today, highlighting the reed beds - and casting shadowy patterns on the river bed.

Further downstream, the Mallard Lads were keeping a low profile and their heads down (see extra).  You could definitely tell they were up to something though .......................
