Sparring Goats
What a great set of comments on yesterday’s blip of a Morris Minor, it seems like this little car left affectionate memories with many of you. Tivoli even quoted a verse from a Stranglers song where they sing about the Morris Thou.
To mark the first day of the next stage of relaxing the Covid restrictions we went walking with our friends Bob and Sue out along the Greensand Way from Linton.
We set off early to walk a short loop to the west before they arrived as we didn’t know how far they would want to walk. In the end it was nearly 5 miles and as you would expect we had a most enjoyable time. Earlier clouds and sleet cleared to give a sunny day which was warm when sheltered from the northerly wind.
It was if we’d only seen each other just a few days ago rather than several months, isn’t that the mark of a good friendship?
A highlight was passing by the Buttercup Goat Sanctuary at Wierton which provided some great entertainment. There was much sparring going on between groups of goats, these two were the best. We couldn’t work out why they would be exhibiting this behaviour in the spring.
