Emily and Bethany.
Emily has taken over a small area at the front of the chapel, it’s on the corner of two streets so is called “The Corner Cafe.” At present it is the only place that we may gather, outside, have a coffee and some of her excellent cakes. A small village community needs somewhere to gather and blather. The pub remains closed.
During lockdown the cafe had to close. Bethany was inspired and clever. She started making meals for home delivery to elderly folk without a means of getting out to shops. This became very successful; she certainly helped ‘her’ community.
Bethany is helping her mum and there is another rather secretive, camera shy, blonde lady hiding away in the shadows. I’m a sucker for blondes, so I’m working on a cunning plan as Blackadder might say.
Then it was off to Marazion with the boys for a sand-glass hunt; Tracie, "Lastlight" uses it in her jewellery. We were quite successful, once the boys had located a couple of pieces they had their eyes in and knew what they were looking for. Quiet, enthusiastic fun, with Pepsi and lemon drizzle cake as the ultimate reward.
Beautiful sunshine, blue sea, wonderful scenery with a horse being galloped along the sand for a film project. It doesn’t get much better. We did some spotting en-route, tourists have roof top boxes, bikes on the rear of their cars and a bewildered face at the driver’s window. No weapons were used, the boys just waved at them, increasing the fear factor by many percent.
Extra, Emily and Bethany.
