Admiral Point

Today was a bright and sunny day and me & Mrs MD felt we needed a bit of 'sea-side therapy'.  We both have a soft spot for Blackpool and, thanks to our motorway network, we can be there in under 1½ hours.
Blackpool may be a bit bright and brash, but it does have quite a bit of heritage hiding behind its perceived persona.
Admiral Point at Anchorsholme is part of that heritage. Formerly the Blackpool Miners' Convalescent Home it was built in 1925-1927 for Lancashire and Cheshire miners, the building continued to function as a convalescent home until the 1980s and in 2005, was turned into 47 luxury apartments. A most impressive building.
