Sunshine And Flowers

It's not quite what I had in mind. I tried to capture some flowers in their environment with the surrounding trees as a backdrop. Lying flat on the floor to get close up I filled the lower 2/3rds of the frame with as much colour as possible. Unfortunately the sky was too bright and it didn't really work as an image, so I decided on a 4:5 crop with just the flowers.

Of the frames I shot this evening, this was the only one where the sun came out and lit up the foreground. I liked that the backlit daffodils indicate where the source of light is without having to include the sun. It was quite breezy as well and I wanted a narrow aperture for depth, so I had to increase iso.
