My life in blips

Tool School

Today I started my apprenticeship with wood pallets!!!  Eubers, the master craftsman, patiently helped me build this planter.  It still needs to be sanded and painted before my horticultural skills can flourish.

New skills for my CV include...
1.     using a crow bar and a hammer (there is no finesse to this technique)
2.     whacking out nails (have a nice wee two handed backhand technique
        for this!)
3.     using claw hammer to remove nails (with addition of a pivot point
        when req)
4.     driving in screws using a drill (currently my favourite activity)
5.     clamping wood in the work bench
6.     sawing at a 45 degree angle
7.     using a jigsaw (I had to prove I could saw before getting to touch this)
8.     collecting up all the nails which had been removed

Lovely to see Mags earlier this morning for an unplanned cup of coffee.
