New arrivals

Bought rather than bred. Two Geese later to be called Heim & Tückisch. In 1995, we had two geese at our last house named Charles & Diana which we raised from chicks and became well known characters in the village. After a few years of following us about, they discovered a near neighbour had a whole flock of them and day for day they spent more time with them until eventually they didn't want to come home.

We asked the flock owner if he had seen them and he told us that he couldn't work out why just two of his flock would often join him for breakfast out on the terrace and beg for food! We managed to carry them home for a few days but eventually gave up and suggested they stay with him and the others.

It was still too cold for the goslings outside, so they were caged up in the bedroom next to a radiator!
