New Car

Having been made redundant, had to return my nice company Land Rover Discovery and using the redundancy pay, bought a brand new Daimler-Chrysler Jeep Grand Cherokee from the local large 4WD/Offroad specialist Pauli in Buchloe. Old Pauli Senior was a salesman extraordinaire - he could sell ice to the Eskimos. The test drives he did with me and Angie were simply horrendous. Careering down an ordinary road when he simply veered straight down the steep embankment along the farm track alongside and then back up on to the road....and several more such things in a quarry and on his own private test track over huge hills and bumps, usually with two wheels at least in the air.

It was a marriage that got its notive on 15h July 2020 when the police pulled me up outside the front gate as my MoT was outdated. Knowing I wouldn't get it through again, it was de-registered and sold on for a few Euros. Did me well over the years, I loved its comfort, great 2.7 litre Mercedes CRD diesel, its trailer pulling power, less so the rust!

The collage is one made by the dealer Pauli themselves. I guess included in the €45,000.00 invoice. Pauli being Pauli did a "big" event for Angie 6 I in the evening.  Standing outside a closed garage, suddenly loud music and flashing lights as the electric garage door rolled up to reveal.......
