Porty Sunset

It was another beautiful crisp clear spring day today. I was on the beach before breakfast enjoying the special early morning light. (See extra.)

After a busy successful day in the house and garden we walked in the evening light and I enjoyed the contrast impressions the sunshine makes on all the interesting buildings in our neighbourhood.

The blip that got away was the one of the heron landing on the rocks, wings startingly lit by the setting sun! The contrail above Porty is from a cargo plane from Cologne en route to Louisville.

As we turned away from the rocks I thought we spotted an otter. T was much more observant and confirmed it was actually a large rat scavenging along the shore line. I thought this was rather an unusal habitat for the urban rat.
