They are up

I started my first seedlings of the season last week with the help of a friend and many children. Descending to the basement each day to water is a delight. The dark, dank corner is brightly illuminated with the grow lights. Underneath, the rows and rows of seedlings are slowly unfurling their leaves. Will the sunflowers or the zinnias be the first to dare the blustery weather aside and march on out to the true sunlight? The weeks will tell.
