Somewhere familiar revisited.
Travel within Scotland for outdoor socialising, recreation and exercise is permissible as of today, as coronavirus restrictions have been eased slightly. Outdoor meetings in groups of up to six adults from up to six households (socially distanced etc) comes into effect too; that’ll be welcomed by many.
My wife and I decided to go a few miles to the University of Stirling campus. It’s somewhere all of the family have connections with, as well as many good memories. It was a great choice. Not at all busy, and it was as lovely as ever. It was nice around Airthrey Loch. We’d a picnic in the Garden of Time, created as part of the University’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
Family are well. They’ve made some plans to strike a little further afield over the weekend. Hillwalking and coffee is involved.
204 new cases in Scotland today, 104 in hospital and sadly another 3 deaths. Good steady progress on vaccinations.
