Blackthorn blossom and peacock butterfly

On a local walk this morning I was admiring the profusion  of blackthorn blossom in the hedges, when along came this peacock butterfly to take  advantage of the nectar on offer.   
If you think the  butterfly is looking a "bit tatty", when you consider it is probably about 9-10 months old, and has been in hibernation over the winter, I think it's actually doing quite well to get this far!
