Forensic evidence

Out here at Udale Bay Nature Reserve where Norwestie and I often walk the beach (OK, she sniffs everything and I hang around) there are geese by the squillion, and ducks and waders of all sorts, but you never find them within half a mile of the shore where we go.

But obviously, some time after low tide early today, there was an illegal goose rave. The forensic boys have been in and here's the evidence. No social distancing, excessive consumption of wrigglies, and have you ever seen a goose wearing a mask by the way? And was there any enforcement? Like fun there was!

Another question you might be able to answer. Do geese ever shut up? Whether coming in to land low over my head as I took this photo, or flying at altitude arguing over which way is north, or standing in the water eating, it's natter natter natter. What if a goose needs to say something important? Will anybody hear it?
