A Beach Day

Weather forecast says it might be the only one until mid-week so we made the best of it. We were also at a bit of a low ebb this morning after an enthusiastic welcome by some friends last evening. Positively rejuvenated now though; ready to go again in a couple of hours. The flight out was uneventful but the car rental experience bore out what I had read in the paper a week ago. The companies sold off most of their fleets during the pandemic so, for the meantime, they are washing the cars they have and sending them straight back out again. Thankfully we only had to wait 15 minutes for a car which would normally have been waiting for us.
