A Spring day...

full of warmth, sunlight and birdsong! Nothing better!
An easy walk up through woods onto the ridge gives this wonderful view of the Cairngorm plateau. The woods have so many Woodpeckers ! Heard one making a strange chirrup as it flew high up into a nest hole, presume it was calling to its mate inside. Others were drumming on their sound posts and my Metalpecker has been testing out all the poles in the area!
Found and painted the first Violets.
In the extra the Wren is shouting at the Great Tit, who looks a little bemused.
