Green Hairstreak Butterfly

We saw this Green Hairstreak Butterfly at Brockholes Wood NNR, Crowden, Longdendale.

A very pleasant day with no coat required :-)

Willow Warblers were singing and I spotted Stonechats, Dipper, Grey Wagtails.

A Bank Vole ran across the path

No sign of any Swallows or Martins and we did’t walk far enough to improve the chances of seeing if other migrant birds have decided to stay.
