Mallard Snipe Lapwing

A pair of Snipe spotted from the car!
I did get out and cross the road for the photo.

The Mallard and the water makes it an obvious place to look.
About a dozen Lapwings around, 2 Oystercatchers, a Single Curlew and a single Brown Hare spotted in this field which is obviously just the right habitat for them all.

It was good seeing one of the Snipes having a bath and cleaning its feathers.  The second one only popped out into view a couple of times.

Lots of lambs in neighbouring fields now.  A bright day but lots of hazy sunshine and warmer.
