A busy day
I went to PetSmart today to return all that canned cat food that Sylvie has no interest in, and while there I browsed looking for animals/birds to photograph. I guess the Covid-driven yen for pet adoption covers a wide range of creatures, as there were none of the usual birds, hamsters, guinea pigs or small reptiles they usually have for sale there. However, there were still a few tropical fish swimming in their tanks, so here is a small group with some unusual aquarium accessories.
Making a meatloaf was my task for this evening - but my ancient food mill broke in the middle of grinding up the eggplant. The food processor couldn't do the job, so I ended up cutting it up small and then using a potato masher to get it done. I have ordered a new mill from Amazon; I hope it's as good as this one has been.
I'm working on a list of things I'll have to get into the house before I come home after my surgery, such as big packages of paper products. I'm hoping to make up some meals that I can freeze for later, as I won't be able to lift anything or stand for too long for a while afterward. The more I can do now, the less I will need to have done for me while recuperating.
