A monochrome day. A stiff easterly is generating a fair surf. Maybe the three surfboarders I saw yesterday afternoon will be out again today? There are nine coasters and tankers sheltering in the Forth this morning. The cold continental airstream seems to be setting the scene for a wintry week in prospect.
