Guernsey Airport
An eerie silence greeted us at the airport this evening as we went to check in early for Charlie’s return flight to the UK tomorrow. Aside from a cleaner and two check in assistants, we were the only people visible.
Charlie’s friends came round as a surprise this evening. They’re not all going back to university this term as most lectures are online. As are all of Charlie’s, but with a little encouragement, he decided to go back, to try to finish his first year in a more positive way than it started. I have been very lucky being able to have him here again since last November. But that doesn’t mean I’m not going to miss him terribly. I hope he finds that it’s not as horrible for him as it was for the first five weeks he was there. Fingers crossed and lots of good vibes will be going with him from home.
