Molly
Molly loves the Loch. Unfortunately later in the summer she won't be able to go for a dip as the Blue green algae grows to a level which is dangerous to dogs. I know a guy who lost a dog here to this horrid algae. The farmers around the Loch using nitrogen fertiliser have made it dangerous for everyone and there are signs put up each summer in warning everyone.
Star is not such a water dog. She does like a paddle, but got a fright last week when she was rolling on the stream bank and rolled into the water. We laughed ... a lot, but she got water in her ears and did not like it. Still, I wish I'd been videoing it. It would have made a good clip for that programme showing everyone's misfortunes.
Heather and I spent all morning, walking, nattering and an outside coffee at the newly reopened shack at the boathouse. We sat on top of an upturned boat in the sun as the dogs dried off and nibbled on twigs.
The afternoon planting seeds which I got from our new local seed and plant share place at the church at the end of our road. All I need is the sun to keep shining and crossed fingers. Some of the seeds were more than 3 years old. Not holding my breath.
Time and greenhouse will tell.
