Screwed. Leitz 90mm Elmarit, 2 tubes, Bellows II

Today, I was cutting a tiny decorative dovetail joint on a cabinet I am making from Imbuya recycled from an old musical instrument.  Part of the challenge of this project is to re-utilize the precious wood, and at the same time avoid all the signs of its previous life from showing up in a visible spot. This sliver of wood is about 11mm long and 6mm high, and I carefully placed the socket for the dovetail where there was previously a screw hole.  The little plug fell away from the saw and I discovered that I had almost exactly bisected the hole.  The other half is now buried deep in the casework, and completely hidden by the dovetail.  One day, when we are long gone from the earth which we destroyed, the Little Green People may use their x-ray vision to scan this piece, and ask themselves, "Why did this crazy earthling go to all this trouble to hide badly executed old inlay and screw holes?"
