Wide Wednesday: Kite Flying


Today's wide blip doesn't meet the requirements of the challenge - although the sculpture is central in the image, if you want to stretch a point.  But it was such an attractive sculpture for a blip that I couldn't resist ... although I've added some extras which nearly made the cut as the blip of the day.

Cathy and I visited the Yeo Valley Garden today, near Ubley, at the foot of the Mendips.  That's Blagdon Lake that you can see behind the rather fine sculpture.  Getting this shot was a bit of a labour of love, as you can see from Cathy's blip of the process.  How she laughed over our cup of coffee later on, as she reviewed the various photos that she had taken and realised that she had an entertaining one of yours truly ....

Truth be told it was a bit early in the year for the garden visit, although the tulips were lovely; but there is certainly plenty of promise for later on and I suspect that it will be spectacular in the Summer.
