On the wing today

We decided to join English Heritage to encourage us to have more of a focus to our walks. There a number of properties nearby that we can visit with Jet. Richard tried to join on the website.....no go. The phone line was down so he wandered up to the castle for human assistance. Result - a better deal and came home with handbook, car sticker and temporary membership card.

Beautiful afternoon for a walk with Jet. Met a wonderful pair of marshals working on the film. Their job was to ensure the level crossing was safe for all users although filming today was a long way distant beyond Levisham. Not sure if I am up for trying to track down the action.

There are a pair Wagtails that have taken up residence in the stream. Today was also a day for butterflies.
