No boots needed!

A few weeks ago this Public Footpath was, in places, a sea of thick, sticky, slimy mud. Sturdy boots with good grip were needed - and still I slipped over a couple of times! Now, we have had no rain for at least 2 weeks and the path is dry, rutted, and cracked - but we don't arrive home covered in mud.
Further on in our walk we passed some trees - two in particular caught my eye because of their beauty against the bright blue sky despite the fact that neither yet have any leaves. One is still bare, the other has catkins - both are lovely. (see extras)
