Crocuses in the rain
After picking up Woodpeckers from her last job of the day, we came home to have tea and hot cross buns. As I sat at the table I thought I would see how what results I could get with my new lens, particularly how well the stabiliser might work. It has been completely cloudy today with intermittent drizzle and I was impressed with the indoor pictures of Helena's jasmine plant.
Bomble pestered me for food so I opened the door to let him out of the back door, as a quick check on his territory outside often distracts him. It distracts me too, as I followed him soon after. I have been amazed at the profusion of purple crocuses which have now bloomed since I blipped the first one in the same plant pot, about three weeks ago.
I wanted to see how close I could get to the subject, in this case the droplets of rain, and how sharp they would be hand held in low light. I'd noticed one particular droplet nestling between two flowers, presumably held in place by surface tension. I have cropped this quite tightly, but going large might be better.
Now I'm off to cook supper and then slump in tv land. It is the end of the week, and at least I am feel better at last.
