Everyone and Everything Out

My cactus hasn’t yet decided which festive season to celebrate , having bloomed before Christmas and now after Easter but before Eid. It is obviously trying hard to be all things to all people.
My magnolia on the other hand has been reluctant to produce buds that open but these ones look as though they will finally make it.

It’s been an extraordinarily busy day and I’m not sure I can cope after a year of restricted company. My school friend joined me for coffee on the patio this morning, a friend on her way back from getting her vaccine popped onto the same patio with her take away coffee, my ‘soup lady’ upstairs came down with a beetroot paté for me to spread on crackers, my book group Zoom took up a bit of the afternoon and now I’m awaiting the arrival of three children for drinks and nibbles on the patio . It’s binge socialising after 13 months of solitude. It must be the sun that brings everyone out.
