Dino Breeding, St George and Co(r)vid

What a busy day. Buddy and Hendrix have been with us this week up to 15:30 the past 2 days, it is St Georges Day, my second Covid vaccination and a Magpie (hence the 'r' in Co(r)vid in the title.

Hendrix came to me with the three dinosaurs, Parasaurolophus, and said that they were Daddy, Mummy and Baby. I had no idea what was going on in the dinosaur basket but I now have a pretty good idea.
It is, of course, St George's Day on the 23 April, probably one of the most forgotten St's days in the calendar! My Sister-in-Law, Sonia, bought me this St George flag last year but it was too late for 2020 so there it is, flying high and proudly for all to see travelling along Abbeymead Avenue.
My 'International Vaccine Record' booklet is now up to date with my second Covid-19 vaccine, received at 16:30 this afternoon.
And our Magpie in Residence perched right at the top of the Silver Birch tree overlooking where the nest is.

My Extra is for anyone interested in the appalling situation where our serviceman are being prosecuted for shooting people during the 'troubles' in Northern Ireland. It was the longest confict our troops have ever been involved in and it ended with the, so called, Good Friday Agreement 10 April 1998 after over 30 years of fighting.
The IRA/Sinn Fein were granted immunity from prosecution, the ones that were in prison were released and given a royal pardon. These were monsters that had kidnapped, maimed and killed civilians and soldiers alike. Shot people dead on their doorstep in front of children and wives, and sometime in front of husbands as they shot all genders. Many of the bodies have never been found and Sinn Fein will not divulge where they are or what happened to them, I suppose that would be too honest for them.
Veterans held protest marches and rides in 2019. Now that restrictions are being relaxed the protests are being resurrected starting with 26 June. Taking place in Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Belfast.
Other rides are taking place later in the year (August) in London to protest in Westminster.
If you know any veterans you might like to draw their attention to this as feelings are running very high in the veteran community, particularly after the forced resignation of former Defence Minister Johnny Mercer who was fighting for justice and equal treatment for the veterans, the same terms as for the IRA.
I have been told that the problem is the Northern Ireland judicial system has different processes and procedures to ours but our veterans are being tried in N.I. and with the political influence over there they really stand no chance of being acquitted.
They were sent there by our government, to protect the communities and try to bring about peace. They were shot at, petrol bombed, stoned, and in some cases dragged from cars and beaten and shot to death. In trying to defend themselves they are now being prosecuted by the Northen Ireland judiciary with no support from our own government.
