Little Red

After blipping Big Red yesterday, it seemed appropriate to share Little Red today, to see the differences between them. She is slightly smaller and is red only on the back of her head, whereas the male red bellied woodpecker is red from the base of his beak all the way to the back of his head. Unfortunately this isn’t the best pose but it is the best one of her head. She was eating on the ground when something startled her. She’s very skittish • Yesterday’s first vaccine jabs went really well! The location was less than 15 minutes from home, was well organized and efficient; was staffed with friendly and helpful people; many National Guard troop members were also assisting. I was told they had jabbed over 3800 people so far that day! We were more than pleased with the operation which makes our second visit in May that much easier. Other than slight soreness near the injection site, we feel great today! • Onward and Upward!
