This is why we've chosen to send her to school now. Days like today. Her first Windband rehearsal before school. A day of masterclasses with the principal bassoon of the Royal Scottish national orchestra. She was delighted when her teacher told her the chap had lent over to him while she was playing and said how fabulous she is. She loved that she did music all day apart from rounders.

She went out for a little trip to waitrose with the house parent and other girls. The boys have all gone home so it's girls weekend. They've baked already and were going to have a pyjama party. She was such a happy girl tonight. 

One day at a time, but today was a good one.
