Haltwhistle Walking Festival (Virtual)
The festival started today. Walkers all over the country (and the world) are encouraged to walk and then post photos on our Facebook page to show they joined in.
Catriona and Kevin (aka Halty Bear) organised a walk from Warden to Tyne Green for Maureen, Brian, Jan and me. My job was to document the event, but there were other photographers. Geoff and Sandy appeared from behind a tree on Tyne Green, adding to the bemused looks we were already receiving.
We did have the opportunity to talk to a few people about the festival.
Lunch was provided by C and K. It was sumptuous. We found an empty picnic table and the food was laid out on a tablecloth no less. The three youngest bears took on the job of guarding the Prosecco (yes, Prosecco)!
After the walk, Kevin and I walked back to our cars at Warden and the others went by car to Haltwhistle.
It was silly and a lot of fun.
Some people wanted to know what we were doing; others avoided our gaze and looked embarrassed!!!
