And it's something that I must believe in

Life is better when the sun is shining.

All week there has been sunshine, and everyone's mood is different.

Whilst still in lockdown in Ayrshire, there's a limit to where and what you can do.  The beach, when it's windy and raining is one option, but it's so much better when it's sunny.

Tonight - we had a wander round the allotment, and then headed into town to pick up a couple of things at the supermarket, and then collect food.

At the back of the allotment, there is a walled garden - a well-known venue for post-school parties.   And boy was there one in full flow tonight.   Music blaring, kids shouting back and forth over the top of the music.   I don't think they were doing anything wrong - but for the folk who own houses in the courtyard in the woods, it must be a nightmare - You buy a house like that to escape people and noise, and there you are in the most picturesque spot in the town, and you are being bombarded with Stock Aitken and Waterman (yes, our kids in town know how to party) ... and kids running all over your bluebells.

We left and at the supermarket - again - the place was swarming with over-done up kids, in the booze aisle getting parents to buy them cider and wine.  Obviously heading up to the woods, or the beach.

As we drove alongside the beach, the car parks were still jammed - 7.30 in the evening.  and people were still sitting on the beach.

I'm glad we live here, and can visit the beach or the woods any time, and not only when it's a lovely day like today
