Hunter and hunted

My borrowed cat is outside a lot more these days. Probably because of the excitement of all the sounds, birds and smells. She's very interested in watching the pheasants in the field, there are one cock pheasant and two hens but my camera can't picture them well enough for you to see them. I think she is a bit scared of the cock pheasant and I think she is wise not to get to close to it. I'm a bit cautious letting the cat out because cats kill a lot of birds this time of year, so many that some species suffer from it but it is also torture to keep the cat indoors, they are all following their instincts.
