Percy the pelican

Percy is one of several large Lego birds which are now at the WWT Barnes. According to the info it is made up of 34,725 bricks and took 210 hours of building time! We actually saw the same models at WWT Arundel last Autumn just before the last lockdown started.
We took the grandchildren early and it was really quiet there but not many birds in evidence and all the viewing areas plus hides are still closed. The journey back took over an hour( instead of 30 mins) partly due to Hammersmith bridge closure and also lots of children being taken to/ from football/ cricket sessions at Barn Elms so a big queue on the exit road from WWT Car Park.
