Prone

I always look over at this willow thinking I should make an image of it, but thus far seem to have avoided doing so. I like the shape its profile makes against the water and sky.

Taken at a distance with a telephoto, I chose to focus on the foreground branches which rendered the trunk soft and the background more so. Doing so I think gives the image a bit of depth, adding some interest.

Placing the main stems to one side seems to encourage the eye to move around the frame, rather than "here's a tree, front and centre, move on".
