Chaenomeles
JJ went off to watch Liam play football this week, so I thought about heading over the fields, but it was so flippin' cold I skirted round one of the fields (trespassing of course), nipped down into a ditch and through a hedge, before heading up to the woods.
JJ said that Luke isn't at all well. He's got terrible mouth ulcers from the treatment and can't eat much more than ice cream and is frequently in floods of tears. He's back on steroids but not due to have any more chemo for a couple of weeks. They don't want to give him any more blood transfusions as they want to try and get his bloods to stabilise on their own. He was due to stop the chemo in the middle of May but they are planning to continue until the end of June. It's a dreadful time for him and the family.
In the meantime he's hoping to go back to school on Wednesday for the day to see how he copes.
I've only just spotted this lovely cream coloured Chaenomeles behind the greenhouse.
