This evening we had our fourth online family meal from the Once in a Blue Moon Cafe calendar that Son gave us all for Christmas. All so far have been challenging in one way or another and for today's recipe none of us had managed to source 'smoked water/liquid smoke', not even Son who had contacted the cafe owners about it. I was so unprepared after a virtual day in the very useful Homebuilding and Renovating Spring Show that I had to go out shopping twice during the cooking process. Good job I live next to a busy international street.

It occurred to me during our screen gathering that I have reached the age that Rembrandt might have taken pity on me.
