Last orders

On Monday I posted a picture of the main shopping street in Raynes Park.  It’s a record of the high street at a moment in time. It will be interesting to look back in months and years to come in order to see those small changes.  Here’s another.  After months of lockdown closure, The Edward Rayne pub permanently shut earlier in the year.  I believe the Weatherspoons chain took an opportunity to break the lease. There was a very small outdoor area - boarded up in this photograph - which means it’s unlikely it would have been open under current rules.  It is a large property on the periphery of the main commercial area in Raynes Park.  I noticed today that the agent’s sign has changed from the former ‘For Sale’ to something that suggests there is a lease available.  Interesting to see what will come here.
