Not A Dead Tulip

I thought I would save you that - you have had enough recently (or at least it feels that way).
So instead you get a wooden 'thing' ...... 91/2" (24cm) high and made from Holly (from my garden) with a lovely silky feel to the finish - apart from on the bark I have left on it which, I feel, adds to the character ... check the extras.
By the way - this was the piece that was stuck on the lathe when the chuck key snapped.

Food delivery day and I actually had crates to put the bags of food in. However, there were 8 of them but there is only room for 7 in the car. So until I had delivered a few of the family bags one of the crates had to sit on top of the single people's meals. There were no disasters I am glad to say.
There was no answer from one of the recipients who was in a hostel so his meals were left in the fridge and a message left on his phone. Later he phoned me and told me that he had moved out and was no living with his brother and wasn't that bothered about the meals. But he really p*ssed me off when he sent a message in the late afternoon - 6 hours after we had spoken (when I was at the lathe) asking for me to drop a meal off at an address (no town name though). I sent one back saying that he would have to contact The Larder but I didn't hold out much hope as they only do deliveries on Mondays and they don't have meals just lying about on the off chance.
