Sandbanks ...
... when I were but a lad, these stone groynes did not exist, there was small wooden pier with trip boats around Brownsea Island and there were sand dunes, not car parks and stone beach huts. The few beach huts that existed were wooden and on stilts - you could hide underneath, in their shadows where the sand seemed icy cold.
